Prerequisites

Some of the hands-on exercises in this collateral require the use of some sample LDIF files.

If you are going through all of the hands-on exercise sequentially you don't need to worry about prerequisites because you have already performed the steps necessary to complete the exercise.

Many of the hands-on exercises build upon previous lessons. However it is conceivable that you may want to skip certain sections. Before each exercise you will see a "Prerequisites" list. These prerequisites need to be perfmormed prior to the lesson you are about to do in order to successfully complete the exercise. Check the prerequisite list prior to performing the lesson to see if you have finished all the lessons needed to successfully complete the lesson.

These hands-on exercises also assume that you have downloaded the sample LDIF files into your local /tmp directory. If you download these sample files into your /tmp directory you can cut and paste most of the examples from your browser to save you time typing the commands.
