SSL Enabling SSO: Testing; Certificate Authentication

Now we will test our user certificate by trying to login to a protected web application. In this case we will be authenticating against DAS.

In your browser, navigate to the following URL:

https://hostname.domain.com:4443/oiddas

You should see the following web page.

Click on the "Login" link in the upper right corner of the page.

If you successfully login using your user certificate you will notice that the "Login" link now reads "Logout".

It is important to note that if you click the "Login" link and you are queried for credentials instead of being automatically logged in, one of two things has gone wrong. Either you have not properly configured the SSO server for PKI authentication, or if you configured your SSO server for Fallback authentication, your browser does not have a valid user certificate.

Watch a viewlet to see how its done.
