If your only objective is to import users and groups from AD to OID, then after testing your Import connector you are finished and do not need to attempt any of the exercises on the following pages.

However, if you are planning to use AD as your source of truth for all user authentication, you may want to try the exercise on the next page titled "Configuring External Authentication".
