The Oracle Rdb Engineering Team is pleased to announce the 2004-2005 series of Oracle Rdb Technical Forums

The Oracle Rdb Engineering Team is pleased to announce the 2004-2005 series of Oracle Rdb Technical Forums.Ê These Forums are offered at no charge and present a series of sessions conducted by acknowledged technical specialists from Rdb Engineering and the Rdb community at large. The Rdb Technical Forums should be considered a requirement for anyone wishing to remain up-to-date with all the latest enhancements and optimizations in Oracle Rdb.Ê Special focus will be given this year to RdbÀs port to HP Integrity Itanium Processor Family (IPF) servers.

The location and dates for this yearÀs Forums are these:

  • Redwood Shores, California, United States: December 2-3, 2004 (Oracle Headquarters Conference Center)
  • Sydney, Australia: March 1-2, 2005
  • Nashua, New Hampshire, United States : March 17-18, 2005 (in conjunction with HPÀs OpenVMS Technical Boot Camp)
  • Europe, April 18-29, 2005Ê (locations and dates to be announced shortly)

The topics covered will include these:

  • RdbÀs port to HP Integrity Itanium Processor FamilyÊ (IPF) servers
  • Customer experiences porting Rdb Applications to IPF
  • Java Application Development with Rdb including an Rdb Native JDBC driver new feature overview
  • Data Replication, including customer experiences using LogMiner to offer ÀData as a ServiceÀ.
  • Optimizer Enhancements including Index Prefetch and Peephole Optimization
  • Distributed Transactions with XA 2PC and Rdb
  • Disaster recovery and best practices on how to recover a broken database
  • Performance tuning and enhancement including Rdb buffering techniques and tracking Rdb performance using T4
  • Rdb Roadmaps
  • And much more

Immediately preceding the Forum in Redwood Shores, our partner, JCC Consulting, will offer Rdb training courses.
