Available Data Sources

Oracle Reports supports several out-of-the-box data sources to make it easy for you to build reports:

  • Oracle9i
  • Oracle OLAP
  • Oracle Express
  • XML
  • JDBC
  • Text files

You can access any JDBC-enabled data source and any XML- or text-based stream. For example, you can create reports based on Apache log files. You can also create SQL and Express Server queries that let you select data from an Oracle relational database or from an Oracle Express Server. If these built-in data sources do not fit your needs, you can always use your own data source.
