Oracle Sensor Edge Server

This page lists all of the edge extensions for the Sensor Edge Server in OracleAS 10g Release 3, which allow you to enhance the current 10g Release 3 offering through support for other readers, sensors and actuators.

The extensions are available through the OTN license, also included inside the extensions file.

Instruction for Deployment:
To install a new extension or upgrade an existing extension, follow these steps:

($SES_HOME = $ORACLE_HOME\j2ee\home\applications\edge\edge\)

  1. Shutdown the Sensor Edge Server
  2. Copy the extension .jar file to the $SES_HOME\extensions directory
  3. Restart the Sensor Edge Server 

If you are updating a driver in 10.1.3.0 then follow steps 4-6

  1. Shutdown the Sensor Edge Server
  2. Remove old entry in $SES_HOME\config\edgeserver.xml
  3. Restart the Sensor Edge Server
