Oracle Warehouse Builder

Patches
 

Warehouse Builder patches are available on MetaLink.

Logon to MetaLink and select the Patches tab from the left hand menu.

Searching by Patch Number on MetaLink

If the patch number is already known, then this is the fastest way to retrieve the corresponding patch. It is also possible to search for multiple patches by entering multiple patch numbers. Wildcard searches are not allowed for searches of this type.

  • Select Patch Number in the Search by drop down menu.
    NOTE: The Release and Patch Type fields are disabled, as they are not relevant, when searching by Patch Number.
  • Type one or more patch numbers in the text entry field. If multiple numbers are entered then they must be separated by either commas or spaces.
  • Click the Go button below to run the search.

Searching by Product or Product Family on MetaLink

  • Select Product or Product Family in the Search by drop down menu depending on which is being searched for.
  • Select the release from the Release drop down menu. This menu is disabled until a valid Product or Product Family name has been selected.

  • Select Patchsets/Minipacks from the Patch Type drop down menu.
  • Click the Go button below to run the search.
  • If more than one patch is found then a Results table will be displayed below the search definition.

    The sortable columns in the Results table will appear raised, with a triangle arrow indicating the sort direction. To sort by a different column, or to change the sort direction, click on one of the [raised column headers]. Click on the patch number to see the detailed information for a patch in the results list.

  • This search can be saved by clicking either of the two Save Search buttons on the page.
