Julien Dubois

Scott Ambler
Scott W. Ambler is a Senior Consultant with Ronin International, Inc., a software services consulting firm that specializes in software process mentoring and improvement. He is founder and thought leader of the Agile Modeling, Agile Data, and Enterprise Unified Process methodologies. Scott is the (co-)author of several books, including Agile Modeling (John Wiley & Sons), Agile Database Techniques (John Wiley & Sons), The Object Primer 3rd Edition (Cambridge University Press), The Practical Guide to Enterprise Architecture (Prentice Hall), and The Elements of UML 2.0 Style (Cambridge University Press). Scott is a contributing editor with Software Development magazine.

   
Rashmi Sinha
Rashmi Sinha, principal of Uzanto Consulting, specializes in design-focused customer research and usability analysis. She is passionate about making technological products easy to use and has done pioneering work in bringing rigor to the design research process. She has developed a set of methods to understand people's mental models and analyze customer experiences. Her work on Online Recommender Systems has had a wide impact on the design of such systems. For the past two years, Rashmi has also served as an advisor to several companies working to bring technology to the masses in the developing world.

Rashmi has a Ph.D in cognitive psychology. Prior to Uzanto, she worked as a Lecturer at SIMS, University of California, Berkeley.
   
Jonathan Boutelle
Jonathan Boutelle is a principal at Uzanto Consulting. A software engineer by training, his interests lie at the intersection of technology, business and customer experience. His current work involves building an innovative rich internet application for remote customer research. He studied Computer Science at Brown University, and has worked as a software engineer for Advanced Visual Systems (a data visualization company) and CommerceOne (a B2B enterprise software company). Andrei Cioroianu
Andrei Cioroianu (devtools@devsphere.com) is the founder of Devsphere (www.devsphere.com): a provider of Java frameworks, XML consulting, and Web development services. Cioroianu has written many Java articles published by Oracle Technology Network, ONJava (www.onjava.com), JavaWorld (www.javaworld.com), and Java Developer’s Journal. He also coauthored the books Java XML Programmer’s Reference and Professional Java XML (both from Wrox Press).

   
Rod Johnson
Rod Johnson is an enterprise Java architect with extensive experience in the insurance, dot-com, and financial industries. He was the J2EE architect of one of Europe s largest web portals, and he has worked as a consultant on a wide range of projects. He is actively involved in the Java Community Process as a member of the JSR-154 (Servlet 2.4) and JDO 2.0 Expert Groups. He is the author of the best-selling Expert One-on-One J2EE Design and Development (Wrox, 2002) and has contributed to several other books on J2EE since 2000. Rod is prominent in the open source community as co-founder of the Spring Framework open source project (www.springframework.org), which grew out of code published with Expert One-on-One J2EE Design and Development.
   
Venkat Tipparam
Venkat Tipparam [tipparam@yahoo.com] is the Director of Engineering at Agile Software Corporation, a leading provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) solutions, where he focuses his efforts on platforms and product architecture. He played a key role in moving Agile's flagship product to J2EE architecture. He spent his early years of his IT career as an independent consultant at various technology companies in the Bay Area. He joined Agile Software after a short stint with a dot com startup. He is a great fan of Java Technology and was involved with Java since its early days. His primary areas of interest include design and development of large-scale systems using Java/J2EE.
   
Hans Bergsten
Hans Bergsten is the author of JavaServer Faces (O’Reilly) and a contributor to the JavaServer Faces specification, as well as to the JavaServer Pages (JSP), JSP Standard Tag Library (JSTL), and Java Servlet specifications.
   
Craig McClanahan
Craig McClanahan is a Senior Staff Engineer at Sun Microsystems, Inc.  He is presently architect for the team that is building Sun Java Studio Creator, an IDE for graphically assembling web applications. Craig is also the original creator of Struts, an open source framework for building web applications based on the Model-View-Controller (MVC) design pattern.
   
Satadip Dutta
Satadip Dutta is a Software Architect at Hewlett-Packard and has been programming in Java since 1997. He has worked in the areas of web services, distributed resource management, management enablement technologies such as JMX, WBEM, SNMP and DMI, Integrated Development Environments, and user interface design. He is a committer for the XMLBeans project (http://xmlbeans.apache.org) and regularly writes for various technical publications. Satadip holds a Masters Degree in Computer Science from Virginia Tech.
   
Benjamin Livshits
V.Benjamin Livshits is a Ph.D. candidate at Stanford University. His interests are in designing tools for automatic error detection for systems written in C and Java. He has lately been focusing on static program analysis for finding security errors in Java applications. Benjamin received a B.S. from Cornell University in 1999 and an MS from Stanford University in 2002.
   
Lonneke Dikmans
Lonneke is a senior consultant at Inspiring in The Netherlands. She is a Sun Certified Java Developer for the Java 2 platform and an Oracle Fusion Middleware Regional Director. Lonneke has been using JDeveloper and BC4J since 2000, and has experience designing and developing J2EE applications, deployment with Ant, and hands-on experience with different J2EE application servers. Besides designing and developing software, Lonneke coaches junior Java programmers, and acts as technical lead and software architect.
