OracleAS Web Cache leverages state-of-the-art caching and compression technologies to optimize application performance and more efficiently utilize low-cost, existing hardware resources. This section contains a series of sample applications which demonstrate various features of OracleAS Web Cache.

Virtual Shopping Mall is popular J2EE 1.3 compliant application which demonstrates various features in J2EE 1.3, J2EE Design Patterns, Internationalization Techniques, Apache Struts Framework and Security Features using JAAS. This VSM 1.3 application is enhanced to use ESI technology supported by OracleAS Web Cache to increase the application's performance and availablity.
