Description
Database
The CMSXDB sample application was designed and built to run with an Oracle9i
v 9.2.0.2 database or higher. It is important to note that this application
runs only with Oracle 9i
v 9.2.0.2 or later, and not with any other flavor of the
Oracle 9i Database.Other databases may work, too, but have not been tested.
IDE
The CMSXDB was built using Oracle9i
JDeveloper version 9.0.3. JDeveloper provides a full-feature integrated
development environment (IDE) that you can use to view and edit the source
code, and to compile and deploy the application.
J2EE Container
JDeveloper includes
Oracle9iAS Containers for J2EE (OC4J), an embedded J2EE container
that you can deploy to and use as an application server to test the CMSXDB.
Note that OC4J is also available as a standalone
Apache FOP
The CMSXDB uses Apache
FOP, which is a Java application that reads a Formatting Objects (FO)
tree and renders the resulting pages to a primary output target, which is
PDF.
