Tutorial: Using the Timer Service

This tutorial describes how the Financial Brokerage Service (FBS 10g) sample application uses the timer service, a feature introduced in the EJB 2.1 specification. The timer service enables an application to execute program logic at specified times or intervals.

This tutorial assumes that you are familiar with the FBS 10g and have installed and configured the required software as described in About the Financial Brokerage Service.
