Requirement	Value
Operating Systems	Microsoft Windows Vista - Home or Professional Microsoft Windows 2003 Server Microsoft Windows XP - Home or Professional Microsoft Windows 2000 Notes Administrative privileges are required to install Oracle Connector for Outlook on Microsoft Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows Vista. Windows XP Service Pack 1 is required, but Oracle recommends Windows XP Service Pack 2.
Disk Space	200 MB minimum Hard disk usage varies according to configuration. Custom installation options may require more or less hard disk space. The amount of online data the user accesses may also affect the disk space requirement.
RAM	Refer to the RAM requirements of your Microsoft Outlook client.
Microsoft Outlook	Microsoft Outlook 2003 (with Service Pack 2) Microsoft Outlook 2002 (with Service Pack 3) Microsoft Outlook 2000 (with Service Pack 3) Notes: Oracle recommends the service pack versions mentioned above. Preinstallation Requirements

Before installing Oracle Connector for Outlook, make sure that you have:

A supported Microsoft Outlook version installed on a supported platform
Administrative privileges for installing Oracle Connector for Outlook on Microsoft Windows 2000, Microsoft Windows XP, and Microsoft Windows Vista
Microsoft Outlook 2000 installed in the Corporate or Workgroup (CWG) mode

To verify the Microsoft Outlook configuration, select Options, Mail Services, and Reconfigure Mail Support from the Tools menu.

Caution:
If you use offline folders, synchronize your offline folders before upgrading to avoid loss of information.

Installation Instructions

Notes:

If you have upgraded your Microsoft Outlook installation, then you must reinstall Oracle Connector for Outlook.
An upgrade from 10.1.2.x will reset your Oracle Connector for Outlook local storage and restore the default Send/Receive and View settings. Back up any client-side e-mail rules or PDA data before upgrading.

To install Oracle Connector for Outlook:

Exit all Microsoft Windows applications.
Double-click con_outlook_1013.exe to start the InstallShield Wizard.
Click Next on the Welcome screen of the InstallShield wizard.
Enter your name in the User Name field and your company name in the Organization field. Click Next.
Click Next to install in the default folder. To install Oracle Connector for Outlook in a different folder, click Change and navigate to that folder.
Select the languages you want to install. You can add more languages after the installation.
To review the information you entered in the previous screens, click Back. Otherwise, click Install.
Click Finish to start the Configuration wizard. If you intend to configure Oracle Connector for Outlook later, deselect Start Configuration, which is selected by default.

6609560	In certain scenarios, Oracle Connector for Outlook shows corrupt Cyrillic characters in the attachment name if the message was originally sent from Thunderbird e-mail client.
6615020	In certain scenarios, Oracle Connector for Outlook shows corrupt Spanish characters in the attachment name if the message was originally sent from Thunderbird e-mail client.
6120041	Attachment name is garbled in Oracle Connector for Outlook if the attachment name contains encoded information, has multi-byte or accented characters, and is sent form Thunderbird.

Bug #	Description
5977187	In certain scenarios, when the Confidentiality field containing multibyte characters is set in a meeting and the email notification is sent out the field would then display as garbled in the email notification.
6216175	In certain scenarios, 3rd party menu items are not displayed in Outlook when Oracle Connector for Outlook is installed.
6269815	Enhancement added to the Oracle Connector for Outlook's Configuration Wizard tool to allow it to replace Exchange service from a user defined profile with OCFO service, and at the same time keep all other non-Exchange accounts and PST.
6245041	In specific scenario, 3rd party software "FileMaker Pro" caused Oracle Connector for Outlook to crash when messages were sent from that software directly.
5974877	In certain scenarios, the AutoPreview feature of Outlook would display some multibyte characters as garbled when the message was sent is UTF-8 character set.
6451667	Oracle Connector for Outlook has been certified against the Windows Mobile 6 devices.
6276975	In specific scenario, users connecting with Oracle Connector for Outlook could not log on to the email servers using SSL mode when certain 3rd party Outlook add-in was present.
6366995	In certain scenarios, OCFO does not handle the encoding information in the attachment Content-Type name causing the attachment name to be shown with encoding information.
