Footnote 1 Oracle Communication and Mobility Server includes Oracle TimesTen 6.0.8; this is the only supported database for this component.

2.3 Database Certification for Solaris

This section contains database certification details for Solaris.

The supported database versions are listed below:

  • Oracle9i (9.2.0.8) or higher

  • Oracle Database 10g (10.1.0.5) or higher

  • Oracle Database 10g (10.2.0.2) or higher

  • Oracle Database 11g (11.1.0.6) or higher

All available editions of the databases listed above (for example, enterprise, standard, or SE1) are supported. For specific database certification information for your platform, please refer to the database certification documentation on MetaLink:

http://metalink.oracle.com/

Table 4 lists the known exceptions and additional database certification information.

Table 4 Database Certification Exceptions and Additional Information for Solaris

Oracle Database Exception Description

9.2.0.8

Oracle WebCenter is not certified on this version of the database.

10.1.0.5

Secure Enterprise Search is only certified against the 10.1.0.5 database natively installed with the product.

N/A

Oracle Communication and Mobility Server is not certified but planned.

11.1.0.6

  • Jdeveloper requires the application of Patch 6322659 (http://updates.oracle.com/download/6322659.html) to resolve an issue with JDBC 11g libraries.

  • Business Activity Monitoring certification is planned but not yet complete.

  • SOA 10.1.3.1 with 10.1.3.3 patchset requires the application of Patch 6265268 (http://updates.oracle.com/download/6265268.html) to resolve installation issues.

  • Web Center 10.1.3.2 with 10.1.3.3 patchset requires the application of Patch 6258398 (http://updates.oracle.com/download/6258398.html) and Patch 6328760 (http://updates.oracle.com/download/6328760.html) to resolve installation issues.

  • ODI 10.1.3.3 requires the following two workarounds to resolve minor compatibility issues:
    1. Create a file named "registry" in the ODI_HOME/lib/scripting folder and add a line containing "python.security.respectJavaAccessibility = false" to that file.

    2. Remove the "NOLOGGING" keyword from the "LKM File to Oracle (EXTERNAL TABLES)" knowledge module or alternatively use the "SQL*Loader" or "LKM File to Oracle" modules in place of the "LKM File to Oracle (EXTERNAL TABLES)" module.
