1 - Read the Oracle
Migration Workbench Release Notes
The installation process for the Oracle Migration Workbench
has changed. Before you download the Oracle Migration Workbench
you must read the Oracle
Migration Workbench Release Notes. This document contains
valuable information about installing and using the Oracle
Migration Workbench.
Specifically please refer to the "Installing
the Migration Workbench" section in the Release Notes
for more information.
You should also read the Oracle
Migration Workbench User's Guide. This document guides
you through the migration process and provides step-by-step
instructions for completing your migration.
2.1 - Download
the Oracle Migration Workbench
Download
and install the
Oracle Migration Workbench Release 10.1.0.4.0 for Microsoft Windows 98/NT/2000/XP and Linux x86
This release supports

Note: You will
not be able to use the Oracle Migration Workbench until you
download and install a plug-in for the database you want to
migrate. See Step 2.2 for instructions
on how to download and install a plug-in.
2.2 - Download
the Plug-in for the Database You Want to Migrate
Once you have downloaded and installed the Oracle Migration
Workbench, you must install the plug-in for the database you
want to migrate. You can install multiple plug-ins if you
wish to migrate different third-party databases.
Note: The installation process
for Oracle Migration Workbench plug-ins has changed. Please
refer to the "Installing the Migration Workbench"
section in the Release
Notes for further details. It is also necessary to install
some third-party drivers. For more information about installing
the required drivers, see the "Configuring the Plug-in"
section of the Oracle
Migration Workbench User's Guide. Choose the required
plug-in from the following list and ensure that you have the
corresponding driver installed:
