Since IT Modernization involves many different technologies and approaches, the OMA categorizes its members into a number of areas based on the type
of vendor solution as well as the type of offering. At the highest level, this consists of three main areas based on their core offering:
System Integrators, Modernization Vendors and Technology Stack Providers.
Systems Integrators
System Integrators are those organizations that typically prime modernization projects and provide the customer-facing services such as project
management.
Specialty Modernization Partners
Specialty Modernization Partners are those organizations that perform specific modernizations and migrations such as specific language or database translations.
Technology Stack Providers
Technology Stack Providers are those organizations that can be used in combination with Oracle Fusion Middleware, Oracle
Database 10g and Oracle Applications to provide a complete modernization target environment that provides both high quality of service and legacy replacement capabilities for all types of modernization.
