Creating Results from SaaS
The Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) market is positioned for rapid growth
with some analysts predicting the SaaS market to hit the $8 billion mark in 2007. By 2010,
analysts expect 30% of software will be delivered as a service. This represents significant
opportunities and significant challenges for Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) investigating
opportunities in the SaaS market.
For years, CSC has been providing many of the services ISVs rely on
most, such as hosting, application design & development (on & offshore), and outsourced
services. CSC serves thousands of clients, leveraging these vital services daily; these
customers know CSC experienced staff consistently deliver results.
CSC’s focus is different from many other SaaS providers in that
we do not focus only on infrastructure and infrastructure-related managed services. After all,
ISVs have their greatest challenges identifying and sourcing the sundry services that will help
them be better prepared from a business planning, application architecture, and go-to-market
perspective. Additionally, after a new SaaS service is launched, generating demand and
providing great on demand customer support top the priority list.
While firms could be found to provide each of these discrete services,
