BENEFITS

  • Freedom of Technology Choice—With support for standard and open-source technologies, including Struts, JavaServer Faces, Enterprise JavaBeans, JSR-227 databinding, and more, TopLink and ADF offers developers freedom of choice for both technologies and platforms. Oracle JDeveloper 11g is the optimal design-time environment for TopLink and ADF applications, but Oracle is also committed to enabling choice of development tools: Oracle is leading Eclipse Foundation projects for EJB 3.0 and JSF tooling so developers can access the most advanced TopLink and ADF functionality from the Eclipse IDE.
  • Simplify SOA and Java EE Development—Oracle TopLink, ADF and ADF Faces Rich Client provide design-time and run-time support for key technologies in the next generation of enterprise Java: Application Grids, EJB 3.0 and JavaServer Faces. These technologies simplify the complexity of Java EE development, and serve as the building blocks of Application Grids, SOA business services, or client technologies like rich web interfaces, Microsoft Excel, or client-server Java.
