Oracle Corporation

Dear Customer,

On October 5, 2010, Oracle announced the acquisition of Passlogix, a long-time Oracle OEM partner, adding enterprise single sign-on (ESSO) and network authentication capabilities to Oracle’s Identity Management suite. Since 2006, Passlogix has been a successful Oracle OEM partner and together we have provided complementary value to customers worldwide. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to close in 2010. Until the deal closes, each company will continue to operate independently.

Building on a successful partnership of more than three years, this combination is expected to build on integration points that deliver value to customers, and better alignment of our technologies for a more comprehensive ESSO offering. With increased investment in ESSO technology, we expect to provide enterprises with new capabilities such as strong network authentication that supports a variety of credential types — improving security while providing more user flexibility — and support for modern architectures and devices, cloud deployment and newer browsers.

The Passlogix technology, which is already integrated with Oracle Identity Manager, Oracle Access Manager and Oracle Internet Directory, strengthens enterprise security by providing simple, secure access to all applications, including client-server, mainframe, desktop and web-based applications. The combination of Oracle and Passlogix underscores Oracle’s commitment to provide customers with the most comprehensive and advanced identity and access management offering.

Sincerely,

Amit Jasuja
Vice President, Oracle Identity Management
