OctetString's Virtual Directory Engine is now the Oracle Virtual Directory and is part of Oracle Fusion Middlware under Oracle Identity Management solutions. Specifically, Oracle Virtual Directory is a component of the Oracle Identity and Access Management Suite, the most complete identity management suite available.
Oracle Virtual Directory allows applications to access user identity information contained in various existing identity sources, such as LDAP-enabled directories and databases, and presents it to the application as one data source. As a result, organizations are able to bring new solutions online faster, which translates into a greater return on investment (ROI).
