Oracle Sponsors Society of Women Engineers' 2006 Scholarships
Fourteen young women came a step closer to achieving their career goals when they were each awarded scholarships from the Society of Women Engineers (Golden Gate Section) at its annual banquet on May 11, 2006 at the U.C. Berkley Faculty Club in Berkeley, California. Sixty people attended the awards dinner, which honored the women for their commitment and dedication. Oracle was one of the corporate sponsors of both the event and the scholarships.

The Society of Women Engineers (SWE), founded in 1950, is a not-for-profit educational and service organization. SWE is the driving force that establishes engineering as a highly desirable career aspiration for women.
