Oracle Volunteers

At Oracle, we attribute our success directly to the efforts of our talented, motivated, and creative work force. Oracle employees are willing to do more, go further, and give more. In addition to their busy schedules, many Oracle employees seek ways to share their time and talents with those in need.

This employee interest in community involvement is the driving force behind Oracle's corporate volunteer program. Established in 1991, Oracle Volunteers creates opportunities for Oracle employees to actively address social needs and make a measurable, positive impact in the community.

Where We're Involved
At our worldwide headquarters, Oracle Volunteers engages our employees in a variety of volunteer opportunities throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. This year, Oracle employees participated in over 80 volunteer projects, logging in over 3,300 volunteer hours to support local Bay Area nonprofit organizations. In addition to our activities at headquarters, Oracle Volunteers programs in 27 locations worldwide offer our employees many opportunities to get involved.

Global Volunteer Days
During the Fall, Oracle holds its annual Global Volunteer Days, a two week long initiative to encourage volunteerism, celebrate Oracle employees' year-round service in their respective communities, and maximize the impact of Oracle's commitment to social responsibility. By participating in a volunteer service project during Global Volunteer Days, Oracle employees around the world benefit through team-building exercises and leadership development opportunities while making a difference in their local communities and having a great time. Visit our Global Volunteer Days section to learn more.

Season of Sharing
Oracle "Season of Sharing," which takes place from November through December, is another special program that provides opportunities to our employees to give back to our communities. Activities this year include: canned food drives, toy drives for disadvantaged youth, blood drives, adopt-a-family programs for low-income families, food sorts at food banks, winter coat drives for individuals transitioning from homelessness, visits with lonely and disabled elderly, an internal online charity auction to benefit a local food bank, and more.
