Casa Granado Laboratórios Farmácias e Drogarias Sees 40% in Performance Gains, Enhances Financial Processes with Upgrade of Enterprise Resource Planning System

Casa Granado Laboratórios Farmácias e Drogarias S.A. (Granado) was founded in Rio de Janeiro in 1870 by Portuguese businessman José Antônio Coxito Granado. The company began by formulating products with plant and vegetable extracts, herbs, and Brazilian flowers, as well as products imported from Europe. Its products’ quality and effectiveness earned the company the title of Official Pharmacy of the Brazilian Royal Family.

In 1903, the company created its Antiseptic Powder, which is its oldest and flagship product with a formula that remains unchanged to this day. Since 1912, the company has expanded its facilities in Rio de Janeiro and acquired a factory in Pará State, where it produces bar soap.

After being a family-owned company for three generations, Granado is currently run by English businessman Christopher Freeman. The company expanded its product range by incorporating the Phebo brand in 2004.
