CEVA Logistics, one of the world’s leading, nonasset-based supply chain management companies, designs and implements industry-leading solutions for midsize national and multinational companies.
CEVA Logistics worked collaboratively with Oracle License Management Services to undertake a thorough assessment of its software assets and devise a comprehensive plan to drive efficiency by improving future asset management and control. CEVA sought to optimize asset management to ensure its full, software-license compliance and apply best practices across the organization.
As a result of the asset management engagement, CEVA Logistics has gained full software license compliance and expects to achieve up to 30% in IT cost savings, meeting Gartner’s projections for a good asset management solution.
With improved skills and knowledge of asset management practices transferred from Oracle during the project, CEVA’s software asset management team is now able to implement and deploy a sustainable software asset management program, globally. With one individual as a central point of contact for all software asset management, globally, CEVA has replaced localized processes with centrally managed, proactive software asset management processes which will be rolled out to all CEVA’s regions including Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Americas, and Asia Pacific.
CEVA Logistics worked with Oracle License Management Services to undertake a thorough assessment of the organization’s asset management processes for Oracle solutions. The Oracle team met and interviewed approximately 25 team members in the procurement, finance, and information systems and services departments to obtain an accurate view of current practices.
Oracle and CEVA quickly established a collaborative working arrangement to ensure maximum benefit from the project. Oracle gave clear guidelines on how CEVA should implement effective software asset management processes to improve agility, boost responsiveness, and drive efficiency.
