“We chose Oracle Exalytics because it delivers extreme performance for Deutsche Telekom’s business intelligence applications. It is by far the fastest machine to run Oracle Essbase. The deployment helped us to minimize cube-restructuring downtimes and ensured that employees can use Oracle Essbase without interruption,” said Martin Jacobs, project manager, application development, Deutsche Telekom.
T-Systems International GmbH is Deutsche Telekom’s corporate customer arm. T-Systems uses a global infrastructure made up of data centers and networks to operate information and communication technology systems for multinational corporations and public sector institutions. T-Systems is integrally responsible for hosting the two Oracle Exalytics Machines in its data center, and it runs and manages the Deutsche Telekom information management platform in close collaboration with Deutsche Telekom application development specialists.
Deutsche Telekom worked with Oracle partner Deloitte Consulting GmbH to successfully migrate its information management applications from Oracle Hyperion Essbase System 9 to Oracle Essbase.
