“We needed to be responsive to market changes, and have the ability to implement new models and features rapidly without causing disruption to our day-to-day business. Oracle CPQ Cloud eliminates errors from complex processes through automated systems that increase accountability, accuracy, and consistency. We can now very quickly configure products and services to meet our goals,” said Daniel Wiegand, director of IT, global customer-facing, supply chain and quality applications, Flowserve Corporation.
In 2008, Flowserve began its search for a configuration system to replace its complex and expensive legacy environment to support its seals and pump product lines. After evaluating several solutions, including Sterling Commerce (now IBM), Flowserve selected Oracle due to the promise of a rapid implementation, robust functionality, and ability to integrate readily with other applications. The cloud-based environment also provided the scalability and flexibility the company required to support it into the future.
Flowserve implemented Oracle CPQ Cloud for its seals and pumps business groups in just six months. Moving forward, Flowserve plans to integrate its Oracle CPQ Cloud environment with Oracle Sales Cloud to realize additional business efficiencies.
