As a contracting firm, Hudson must have a reliable payroll system that is flexible enough to meet the needs of short- and long-term contracts and numerous skill sets and job functions, while ensuring the company can issue paychecks consistently and accurately each week. Further, as a global company, Hudson must meet regulatory requirements for financial and human resources (HR) processes in all jurisdictions it works in, across more than 20 countries.
To meet these needs, Hudson decided to replace a series of homegrown HR and financial management applications and move to a single global system. The company chose Oracle’s PeopleSoft applications and began rolling the applications out companywide. By establishing a unified, integrated system for payroll, front-office operations, and financials, Hudson has significantly increased its ability to efficiently and effectively manage the complete prospect-to-cash process.
Hudson chose Oracle’s PeopleSoft applications after an extensive review of available options. It determined that PeopleSoft applications were the leading HR applications in the staffing industry. In particular, Hudson felt that PeopleSoft Pay/Bill Management was a must-have as it plays a vital role in streamlining the order-to-cash process in it is business, which enables Hudson to serve its clients faster and quickly collect payment.
Hudson initially selected PeopleSoft applications in 2004. It has deployed the applications in North America, Australia, New Zealand, and Asia. It is live on PeopleSoft Version 9.0 in Australia and New Zealand, and continues to roll out the upgrade.
Hudson partnered with Infosys Limited to implement the applications. The company provided support from planning through to deployment, ensuring a smooth completion of the roll out. Infosys also hosts the PeopleSoft Version 9.0 instances for Hudson and continues to assist with the upgrade to Version 9.0.
