Hyatt Hotels Corporation is a global hospitality company with widely-recognized, industry-leading brands and a tradition of innovation developed over more than fifty years. Hyatt manages, franchises, owns, and develops Hyatt branded hotels, resorts, and residential and vacation ownership properties around the world. The company’s global portfolio consists of more than 450 properties.
Hyatt needed to provide for flexibility and individuality across approximately 480 property Web sites, while ensuring that all company sites followed standard guidelines and retained the same corporate look and feel. It also wanted to make it easy for staff members at various properties to easily update Web content without requiring IT support.
Hyatt recently upgraded to Oracle ATG Web Commerce 10 to meet these challenges, while improving system stability, security, and site-rendering speed.
Hyatt chose Oracle ATG Web Commerce for its ability to take different sites and incorporate them in a seamless fashion, while integrating outside content as needed.
“Loading content and changing offers with Oracle ATG Web Commerce is absolutely seamless for our users,” said Mike Blake, chief information officer, Hyatt Hotels Corporation.
Hyatt first implemented Oracle ATG Web Commerce in the early 2000s and upgraded to Oracle ATG Web Commerce 10 in 2010. With the upgrade, Hyatt achieved greater stability and much faster Web site rendering.
