  • Track and share real-time geographic information and mapping data seamlessly between planning and municipality departments

Solutions

  • Worked with Oracle Partner GAUSS GeoInformation Systems d.o.o. to deploy WebCity, its integrated, Web-based geographic information system (GIS) built on Oracle Database, Oracle Application Express, and Oracle Spatial technologies
  • Chose the Oracle-based architecture for its flexible, modular design that is suitable for local governments
  • Gained an application for city planning and land registry that replaced multiple data repositories with a single database for alphanumeric and spatial documents and images
  • Used Oracle Spatial to design and update urban plans, using standard CAD/GIS tools to upload them to Oracle Database, and design spatially enabled plans quickly and cost effectively
  • Benefited from Oracle Locator to support automated mapping and GIS solutions
  • Used Oracle Fusion Middleware's MapViewer component to allow departments to access and analyze geospatial data and overlay their information with that of other functions in a relational, three-dimensional database to provide a single integrated view
  • Built automated KPI dashboards and statistical reports for the mayor and key decision-makers using Oracle Application Express, which supported management reporting and fact-based decision-making
  • Benefited from efficiencies of the integrated, online solution to cut administration, improve efficiency, and comply with a 30-day deadline for granting building and planning approvals
