Challenges

A word from National Chung Hsing University

  • “With its modular, open standards design, Oracle’s PeopleSoft Campus Community has improved student administration and enabled us to freely exchange data with partner universities. The system will support our aim of becoming a globalized institution offering high-quality education.” – Huang Der-Chen, Director, Computing and Information Network Center, National Chung Hsing University

  • Replace an aging student administration system that was difficult to use and lacked integrated functionality
  • Implement a solution that integrates student administration, curriculum management, accounting, and human resources functions to support the needs of multiple departments
  • Ensure reliable performance even when user numbers increase
  • Reduce the time required to develop student reports, as IT staff spent 70% to 80% of their time on this task

  • Developed and launched the first phase of the student administration subsystem (used to manage details such as enrollments and course payments) in one month
