The Regency - London’s Largest Independent Hotel
The Regency is a four-star hotel located in South Kensington in London. The hotel is independently-owned with 203 rooms, as well as dining and conference facilities.

The Regency was recently refurbished, giving the entire property a modern and up-to-date look. As part of that process, the team at The Regency began the search for a new property management system (PMS) that would allow the hotel to deliver the best possible service to its guests.

Chris Guy and his team had already decided to install Oracle Hospitality OPERA Property Standard Cloud Service when PCI compliance suddenly became a very big and potentially very expensive issue for The Regency Hotel.

To meet the stringent demands of PCI, Chris and his team had to instigate a major audit of the hotel operation. “We had to look at the whole business, from bookings to storage of card details, training, firewalls, our website, you name it and we had to assess it as part of our PCI process. It was hugely time-consuming.”
