Autoverify Security Checklist
Autoverify Security Checklist is a utility designed to run on Linux/UNIX platforms that automates many of the tedious and repetitive tasks that take place during the security assessment of an Oracle Database, Oracle Application Server and Oracle E-Business Suite environment. Through the use of predefined test scripts and workflow files, many of the tasks that Global IT (GIT) security members used to perform manually are now performed automatically by Autoverify Security CheckList, which is based on the Oracle GIT security standard.

Q: Why is the Autoverify Security CheckList innovative?
A: We used to have to spend many hours performing ad-hoc security assessments. Now, with the Autoverify Security CheckList, security for our customers and internal Oracle users is much more efficient and effective. The utility saves money and time because it is simple to install and run, requiring no special environment settings and minimal command line arguments. It's based on current GIT security standards so it's easy to update, and it's portable. Even non-experts find it easy to work with.
Q: How do you define innovation?
A: Innovation is the implementation of new ideas to make our daily life easy, effective, and efficient.
Q: What's the most innovative product you've worked on?
A: Nearly every project I've worked on so far has been innovative because they've been based on the vision of simplifying existing processes by automating as much as possible. I get a lot of satisfaction from focusing solutions to improve business, enhance efficiency, and save money.
Q: How does Oracle's innovative culture help its customers?
A: If Oracle creates an innovative product that helps customers improve their business experience and be more efficient, this can ultimately provide a benefit for the public good. Everything is interconnected. As an example, if Oracle is developing voice technology, this technology can then be used by a company to help blind people do things they may not have been able to do before, which is ultimately a benefit to society.
Q: What culture in history do you consider the most innovative?
A: Ancient China, because it was responsible for four great inventions: the compass, gun powder, paper making, and printing.
Q: What do you think is the most innovative product in the world?
A: Google Mobile's Google Search, because as long as you have a cell phone with browser capabilities, you can use it to search by voice for anything.
