Oracle Announces Oracle OpenStack for Oracle Linux 1.0
Now generally available, the Oracle OpenStack for Oracle Linux distribution allows users to control Oracle Linux and Oracle VM through OpenStack in production environments. Based on the OpenStack Icehouse release, Oracle's distribution provides customers with increased choice and interoperability. Oracle OpenStack for Oracle Linux is available as part of Oracle Linux Premier Support and Oracle VM Premier Support at no additional cost.

The third quarterly update of Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel 3 is now available for Oracle Linux 6 and Oracle Linux 7. This third update to Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel 3 includes driver updates and a consolidation of bug fixes and security updates.
Oracle Linux at Oracle OpenWorld 2014
Oracle OpenWorld 2014 was a tremendous success, with a variety of Oracle Linux–focused sessions and hands-on labs, plus an extremely popular partner and demo showcase area. Highlights included Oracle Senior Vice President of Linux and Virtualization Wim Coekaerts' general session "Oracle Linux—State of the Penguin," as well as the "Voice of the Customer" session in which Oracle Linux users discussed their real-world scenarios using Oracle Linux.
