Oracle's 360Commerce Retail Solutions have been named winner of the "IBM Best Retail Store Solution" award in the annual IBM PartnerWorld Beacon Awards competition. The award honors IBM Business Partners for innovation, customer satisfaction and outstanding achievements in providing on-demand business solutions. Many of the world's leading retailers use Oracle's 360Commerce Retail Solutions. Feedback from these and other retailers was a key factor in winning this award.
The winning Java-based retail application suite is designed to be the most flexible on the market and is deployed on a wide range of hardware platforms and operating systems. The solution enables retailers to provide a superior customer experience and provides the underlying technology required to easily add or modify functionality as business needs evolve. This application leverages IBM's Store Integration Framework, IBM Retail Environment for SUSE Linux and IBM hardware, software and services to increase employee productivity and speed employee training.
In making their decision, Beacon Award judges noted that in a highly competitive market, Oracle's 360Commerce Retail Solutions were chosen as the store systems solution of choice by multiple large retailers. In addition, their application fits within a service-oriented model that is innovative and in line with IBM's own product direction.
"Judges selected Oracle's 360Commerce Retail Solutions as the winner in this category based on its ability to deliver cutting-edge innovative value to customers while working closely with IBM to both benchmark and extend those solutions and technologies," said Donn Atkins, IBM Global Business Partners General Manager. "Oracle's 360Commerce Retail Solutions are combining technology expertise with business insight to help their clients solve complex business issues and realize measurable efficiencies."
"This award further validates our position as the choice for retailers who want to implement next-generation technology and functionality that have been tested and proven in retail," said Tom Fornoff, Oracle Retail Senior Director for Alliances. "We are proud to have IBM recognize our leadership in retail and the value our combined solutions deliver to our joint customers in the demanding retail environment."
