Oracle has been recognized by solution-provider readers of CMP Media's VARBusiness for outstanding satisfaction levels that it provides to them and has been lauded in the Annual Report Card (ARC) award program. By winning top honors across the category in Best Product Innovation, Best Support and Best Partnership, Oracle was named "Software Company of the Year" in the overall Business Software Category. The award was given by the biweekly magazine that provides strategic insight to technology integrators at an awards ceremony held on August 23, at the XChange '05 Conference in Orlando, Fla.
Now in its 20th year, the VARBusiness ARC Awards recognize outstanding partner programs in 19 product and service categories including desktop computers, servers, storage management, Internet application server software and networking hardware. Winners were selected based on the survey results of more than 5,000 systems integrators, IT consulting organizations, value-added resellers (VARs), solution providers and software developers.
"The VARBusiness Annual Report Card is the industry standard for measuring excellence," says Publisher Robert C. DeMarzo. "It is a meaningful benchmark because the winning companies are selected by their customers."
"This award is especially important to us because our partners weighed in on the value of Oracle to their businesses," said Oracle Group Vice President of North America Channels, Rauline Ochs. "The year-over-year gain in our partner satisfaction scores validates the return on Oracle's partner investment, including broad executive support, partner programs and field sales engagement with partners."
Research was conducted by Bernett Research Services, a Boston-based data collection company, and Answers Research, the Solana Beach, Calif.-based market research and consulting firm.
