The Oracle Education Foundation Honors Students and Teachers At ThinkQuest Live 2008
Students and Teachers Receive Awards and Prizes for Creating Innovative Educational Websites

The Oracle Education Foundation (OEF) will welcome 61 students and teachers from 10 countries to ThinkQuest Live 2008, held in San Francisco, California from September 21-25, 2008. Countries represented include Argentina, Australia, Brazil, India, Japan, Singapore, Tunisia, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Vietnam.
ThinkQuest Live is an event that honors the winners of OEF’s ThinkQuest Website Competition 2008 (formerly ThinkQuest International 2008), which challenged teams of students to develop educational websites on topics of their choosing.
During ThinkQuest Live, winners will take part in learning and recreation programs and receive awards at a banquet hosted by OEF’s Board of Directors and Oracle executives.
In addition to the trip to ThinkQuest Live, winners will receive prestigious prizes including laptop computers, digital cameras, and school grants, depending on placement.
Over 970 teams from 60 countries participated in the ThinkQuest Website Competition 2008. Completed websites were published in the ThinkQuest Library, the world’s largest online repository of student-developed learning projects.
Students who participate in the ThinkQuest Website Competition gain vital skills for life and work in the 21st century, including teamwork, communication, creativity and technology skills.
