Global Award Recognizes Customers for Innovative Deployments of Oracle® Fusion Middleware with Oracle Applications

The recipients of the 2008 Oracle® Excellence Award are: Amway, Arrow Electronics, Inc., British Telecom (BT), Chick-fil-A, Inc., Charles Schwab & co. Inc., EMC Corporation, The Eaton Steel Bar Company, Florida A&M University, KPN, MASCO Builder Cabinet Group, Pearson, Pfizer Inc., PNC Financial Services Group, Inc., Rabobank Nederland, Regal Beloit Corporation, University of Louisville, West Virginia University, and Zebra Technologies.
BI Consulting Group (BICG) and Innowave Technology, LLC are recipients within the System Integration category.
Oracle Fusion Middleware includes all acquired products under the BEA umbrella.
Oracle Applications includes the Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle’s PeopleSoft, Oracle’s Siebel, JD Edwards and Industry Applications.
The award is co-sponsored by Oracle, the Oracle Applications User Group (OAUG) and Quest International Users Group (Quest), Australian Oracle User Group (AUSOUG), United Kingdom User Group (UKOUG), Independent Oracle User Group (IOUG), and Oracle Development Tools User Group (ODTUG).
Today’s announcement supports Oracle’s strategy of delivering complete, integrated and end-to-end product suites on an open, standards-based middleware and database architecture. Oracle’s approach helps customers to simplify computing environments, lower cost and risk, and provides greater choice and flexibility.
