Marionnaud Deploys Oracle® Retail Applications to Support Performance Objectives in France
French Subsidiary of Europe’s Largest Perfumery and Cosmetics Chain Leverages Oracle Retail to Drive More Profitable Business Decision-Making

Marionnaud, Europe’s largest perfumery and cosmetics retail chain and part of the A.S. Watson Group, has implemented Oracle® Retail merchandising applications to help improve inventory management and boost financial performance in the highly competitive French market.
Marionnaud recognised that its outdated and inflexible legacy systems could not adequately support its drive to improve market share and profitability and identified Oracle Retail applications as providing the platform to help it achieve these goals.
The Oracle Retail Merchandising System, Oracle Retail Allocation, Oracle Retail Invoice Matching and Oracle Retail Data Warehouse applications are helping Marionnaud to refine and optimise merchandising, planning and supply chain processes.
They are also helping to deliver benefits around improved invoice matching, more accurate allocation of products between warehouses and stores and enhanced inventory management.
The Oracle Retail implementation has also provided the French retailer with greater visibility to data connecting the supply chain, stores and the back office; leading to a re-structuring of processes around inventory, financial management and reporting to promote more accurate decision-making across the business.
As an existing Oracle E-Business Suite customer, the French retailer recognised that the selection of Oracle Retail applications would help deliver a simplified integration process and more rapid speed to value. This was achieved with implementation being completed within a year.
Oracle holds a strategic relationship with the A.S. Watson Group and the deployment of Oracle Retail applications helps support the channels of communication between the retailer and its parent company.
