Today, Oracle announced a world record result on the two-tier SAP® Sales and Distribution (SD) Standard Application Benchmark for a two-processor server running the SAP ERP 6.0, Enhancement Pack 4 (Unicode).(1)
On a system configuration comprised of a Sun Fire™ X4270 server equipped with two new Intel® Xeon® x5570, quad-core (2 processor/8 cores/16 threads) 2.93 GHz processors,
Oracle Database running on the Solaris™ 10 Operating System achieved 3,700 SAP SD Benchmark users.
The two-tier SAP SD Standard Application Benchmark measures the system performance to process dialog steps and order line item postings per hour for SAP solution-based transactions. A transaction consists of a full business process that captures activities from the full order processing cycle from order creation to delivery to invoicing.
