Strengthening its position as a leader in knowledge and content management for customer relationship management, Oracle today announced the availability of an out-of-the-box integration between Oracle’s Siebel CRM and Oracle® Universal Content Management - the Siebel CRM Adapter for Oracle Universal Content Management.
By integrating Siebel CRM and Oracle Universal Content Management, the adapter enables customers to reduce hardware and IT administration costs while they gain competitive advantage by facilitating collaboration and improving information access and quality in sales, marketing and support processes.
Customers deploying the combined solution will benefit from:
Integrated Document Management: improves information quality, access and security by providing comprehensive document management functionality within Siebel CRM including the ability to attach content to Siebel CRM business objects with check-in/check-out capabilities and full version control;
Automated Content Conversion: simplifies information sharing by converting Siebel CRM-based content into standard viewing formats such as HTML, PDF or TIFF;
Enhanced Search: increases relevance by returning results based on user-applied metadata or content associated with the user’s Siebel context, such as account, contact or service request;
CRM to WCM: automates Web update process by tying content to Siebel objects, so as updates are made in the Siebel system, they are published to the correct Internet or intranet site;
Loose Coupling: allows for independent upgrades and provides greater assurance of system integrity by eliminating hard coding required by competitive integrations;
