Oracle Validated Integrations Continue to Provide Value to Partners and Customers
More than 500 Validated Integrations Delivered Through Oracle PartnerNetwork Application Integration Architecture for Partners Initiative to Reduce Risk and Cost for Customers
Redwood Shores, CA – August 10, 2009
Further providing customers a simplified, low-risk and tested path to integrations, Oracle today announced it has completed over 500 validations of integration to third party software though the Oracle PartnerNetwork Application Integration Architecture for Partners (AIAP) initiative. To date, over 170 Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) have validated integration to their solutions through the program, providing customers tested and proven integrations for the Oracle® E-Business Suite, Oracle’s PeopleSoft Enterprise, JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, JD Edwards World, Siebel and other Oracle applications.
Recent partners to achieve Oracle Validated Integration through Oracle AIAP include: Avaya, Axeda Corporation, Brainware, Inc., Data Systems International®, F5 Networks, HERMES SoftLab, Kaba Workforce Solutions, South Consulting, TimeLink, and UC4 Software, Inc.
The Oracle AIAP initiative provides partners development guidance, tools, validation testing and best practices for integrating to Oracle’s broad portfolio of applications. Partner solutions can be validated across three integration and extension approaches, including cross-application business process integration, service based integration, and native application integration, to meet the different solution requirements for a wide variety of customer business scenarios.
Customers and Partners Reap Benefits of Validated Integrations
For customers, using solutions with the distinction of Oracle Validated Integration provides confidence that the integration between new and existing solutions have been tested and validated as functionally and technically sound, that the product is integrated with Oracle Applications in a reliable, standards-based way, and that the integration operates and performs as documented.
For partners, Oracle Validated Integration offers competitive advantage by providing the ability to:
Insulate customer risk while delivering the most functional, flexible and cost-effective solutions;
Deliver trusted, standards-based product integrations that are reviewed, tested and validated by Oracle;
Integrate solutions with Oracle's industry-leading application products to open new markets and discover new sales opportunities; and
Leverage Oracle marketing opportunities including maximizing marketing with Oracle datasheets, participation in Oracle PR initiatives, visibility at Oracle sales briefings, ability to use the distinct “Oracle Validated Integration” logo, inclusion in the Oracle partner solution catalog, and more.
Through the AIAP initiative, partner validation may include product installation verification, demonstration of business processes, data exchange testing, security testing, documentation review, and globalization validation.
“Customers today are struggling with fully integrating new and existing applications, to maximize their IT investments and drive further business value,” said Judson Althoff, senior vice president, Worldwide Alliances and Channels, Oracle. “By developing SOA-based integrations, partners offer solutions best suited for Oracle applications, with rapid, low-cost implementations and easier upgrades for their customers. By validating these integrations through Oracle AIAP, our partners can provide their customers the peace of mind that the application integration has been put through stringent testing and validation and will perform seamlessly in real-world implementations.”
“DSI’s long-standing commitment to maintaining continuous integration validation through the Oracle AIA for Partners initiative enables us to demonstrate to our customers that we conform to Oracle standards today. Additionally, their future Oracle and dcLINK® upgrades should be seamless and they will continue to realize value from their investment over time,” said Latecia Mills, Vice President of Client Services for Data Systems International® (DSI).
“In today’s environment, it is all about how we help our customers deliver superior customer care at the lowest cost,” said Chris McGugan, vice president of Product Management and Marketing, Avaya. “Integration validation with Siebel CRM helps our Avaya Interaction Center customers realize faster time to market of higher quality services and support, ultimately improving their business bottom-line."
Axeda’s on-demand intelligent asset management solutions provide companies with standards based applications to connect, service, and track wired and wireless assets anywhere. “Having Oracle validate our integration helps reduce the risks and costs of the overall solution by providing our customers the assurance of high quality and reduced technical complexity," said Brian Anderson, vice president of marketing, Axeda Corporation. "The combined solution enables real-time information from connected assets to feed directly into Oracle’s Siebel CRM, helping customers deliver true service transformation by increasing service revenue, decreasing service response time, improving product performance and reducing costs through productivity gains.”
