Oracle Education Foundation Honors Students and Teachers from 11 Countries at ThinkQuest Live 2009

Over 100 Students and Teachers Receive Awards for Innovative Educational Projects

Redwood Shores, CA – October 8, 2009

News Facts

The Oracle Education Foundation (OEF) will welcome 114 students and teachers from 11 countries to ThinkQuest Live 2009, held in the San Francisco Bay Area from October 11-14, 2009.
ThinkQuest Live is an event that honors the winners of OEF’s ThinkQuest Competition, which challenged teams of students to develop innovative online projects that educate their peers about global issues.
Countries represented by winners include Australia, Brazil, China, Hungary, India, Pakistan, Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Singapore, South Africa, Turkey, and the United States.
During ThinkQuest Live, winners will take part in learning programs and receive awards at a banquet hosted by OEF’s Board of Directors and Oracle executives.
In addition to the trip to ThinkQuest Live, winners will receive prizes including laptop computers, digital cameras, and school grants, depending on placement.
Over 2,100 teams from 83 countries participated in the ThinkQuest Competition 2009.
