Philippine Savings Bank (PSBank), the country's second largest thrift bank, has deployed the Sun Oracle® Database Machine to underpin its enterprise wide analytics platform.

PSBank used Hybrid Columnar Compression , Oracle Partitioning and Oracle Real Application Clusters to complete its robust, scalable and transparent data and storage infrastructure for its business intelligence platform.

Response time for queries and requests that used to take between three hours to several days is now completed in less than one minute with near real-time updates for the president’s dashboard.

An upgrade to Oracle Database 11g, which did not require PSBank to further tune its applications, enabled the bank to save on additional storage costs.
