REDTAG Group Leverages Oracle® Retail to Drive Business Growth and Improve Profitability
Fashion and Home Retailer Deploys Oracle Retail Merchandise Financial Planning to Optimise Planning Operations
Redwood Shores, Calif. – November 23, 2011
REDTAG Group, part of BMA International, is using Oracle® Retail Merchandise Financial Planning to optimize planning operations and improve inventory management across its 77 value fashion and home stores within the Middle East.
REDTAG has created a unified retail planning model to drive planning practices as it expands its direct sales model across the GCC and its newly launched franchisee model in the broader Middle East region.
With an integrated and consistent approach to planning in place, REDTAG expects to gain insight into customer demand, which will help to improve profitability and performance of in-season inventory.
Oracle Retail Merchandise Financial Planning has replaced a legacy in-house tool, bringing scalability and flexibility to planning operations that can support REDTAG’s expanding business.
REDTAG invested in Oracle Retail in August 2010, selecting Oracle Retail Merchandise Financial Planning over competing solutions, identifying the proven planning capabilities, scalability and integration with its existing Oracle Database 11g as the strongest proposition for its business.
Cognizant, a global provider of consulting, business process and IT services and a Platinum level member in Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN), completed the implementation of Oracle Retail Merchandise Financial Planning in five months.
“The implementation of Oracle Retail will help us to build and maintain optimal inventory levels throughout the year,” said Biju Joseph, Group IT Manager, REDTAG Group. “With the right stock in the right stores at the right time, we can ensure that we are providing our value conscious customers with a truly enjoyable shopping experience.”
“As REDTAG continues to grow its business, it becomes ever more important to optimise operations and provide better insight into customer demand,” said Will O’Brien, Vice President EMEA, Oracle Retail. “An enhanced customer experience is dependent upon retailers aligning their businesses and making smarter decisions in support of customer priorities.”
