The initiative will leverage ThinkQuest, OEF’s online learning platform. ThinkQuest helps students develop important 21st century skills, including critical thinking, communication, and technology skills.
The Brogan Museum will use ThinkQuest to create three online projects focused on museum exhibits. These projects are expected to engage up to 2,500 students, including students from rural, economically underserved areas of Florida.
In addition, OEF and The Brogan Museum will work together to train 1,000 teachers on how to integrate ThinkQuest and project learning into their curricula.
ThinkQuest currently supports 548,000 students and teachers in 47 countries.
“The Oracle Education Foundation is proud to partner with The Brogan Museum,” said Brad Saffer, Vice President, Oracle Corporate Citizenship. “The projects they develop will enrich the global ThinkQuest community and help students unleash their creativity.”
