Reports from Leading Analyst Firm Highlight Oracle® Exadata Database Machine Developments and Customer Testimonials

Market research firm IDC recently published three reports featuring Oracle® Exadata Database Machine based on announcements and customer interviews from Oracle OpenWorld 2010.

IDC’s report, “Messages from Oracle OpenWorld 2010: Exadata Exceeds Expectation and MySQL Thrives (October 2010, Doc. #225293),” states “High expectations for the performance, manageability, and scalability of the Exadata technology are well founded.”

The report continues, “What became clear from the start, and was reinforced by numerous customer panels as well as one-on-one interviews with users, was that Oracle’s claims regarding Exadata’s speed, efficiency, and scalability were not hype; if anything, they proved modest when compared with actual experience.”
