In addition, Oracle Enterprise Manager provides system administrators a single, management interface for Epsilon’s entire Oracle-based infrastructure and allows them to manage and help ensure “always-on” availability for critical customer systems.
With Oracle Enterprise Manager, systems administrators have been able to significantly increase efficiency and productivity and IT staff has been freed to focus on tasks that are a priority for their customers and business.
With Oracle Exadata and Oracle Enterprise Manager, Epsilon has been able to drop transaction times dramatically and provide enhanced services. For its retail customers, this new processing power means loyalty program rewards can be tracked directly at the point of sale and customers’ savings can be identified instantly.
Additionally, at Oracle OpenWorld San Francisco 2012, Jeff White, vice president, technology, strategic database services at Epsilon was recognized as Data Warehouse Leader of the Year for North America.
White and his team at Epsilon are responsible for the company’s data warehouse system, which included this migration to Oracle Exadata Database Machine and Oracle Enterprise Manager.
The award, one of several categories covered by the Oracle Excellence Awards, honors individuals who demonstrate excellent technical knowledge and innovative use of Oracle data warehouse technologies to the benefit of their business.
