Integrates Data from 14 Heterogeneous Sources to Support Real-Time Business Intelligence

Ameristar Casinos, Inc., an innovative casino gaming company, deployed Oracle GoldenGate’s real-time data integration technology to help improve customer service.
Ameristar needed a single solution that could easily integrate data from heterogeneous sources, enabling real-time business intelligence to develop more targeted marketing initiatives.
A component of Oracle Fusion Middleware, Oracle GoldenGate enables real-time data integration of Ameristar’s promotional and gaming data from 14 data sources across its 8 casino hotel properties, including the Aristocrat gaming and MGT promotional management platforms running on Microsoft SQL Server 2000 databases, into a central Teradata data warehouse.
The new Oracle GoldenGate solution has significantly reduced latency to the enterprise data warehouse, enabling Ameristar to use real-time customer data to provide timely, actionable information to its analysis and marketing teams and improve the overall customer experience.
With centralized information from all of its properties, Ameristar can more easily evaluate business opportunities, including marketing promotions, as well as have near real-time visibility into the financial status of the company using the data coming from the gaming systems.
Previously, Ameristar used a complicated replication solution that involved multiple vendors and an intrusive trigger-based data capture that required dedicated personnel to manage the replication solution.
