To help optimize business processes, LCS, a leading provider of senior lifestyle services, has upgraded to Oracle E-Business Suite 12.1.
Once on the latest release of the product, LCS added new functionality including Oracle SubLedger Accounting, Oracle iExpenses, Oracle Compensation Workbench and Oracle Self-Service Human Resources to meet the needs of its growing organization.
With more than 20,000 people employed across more than 80 LCS owned and managed communities in North America, LCS needed a comprehensive and integrated suite of modern applications that could help drive efficiencies by enhancing and standardizing business processes.
Completed on time and on budget, LCS has been able to minimize system customizations and simplify application maintenance by upgrading to Oracle E-Business Suite 12.1.
Contributing to LCS’s successful deployment was the fact that it hired an experienced project manager who could guide the in-house implementation team on the typical steps that needed to take place, such as test and retest, for a smooth go-live. They also created an extensive amount of training.
With the latest release of Oracle E-Business Suite, LCS has experienced greater efficiency on the financial side with Oracle E-Business Suite Financials modules, including Oracle General LedgerOracle Payables and Oracle Receivables, to help streamline processes, enhance visibility into key business metrics and increase efficiency.
Oracle Subledger Accounting, a rules-based engine for generating accounting entries based on source transactions, has enabled LCS to bundle some of the requests that used to run as separate processes.
Oracle Projects has helped further improve business visibility by providing a single, accurate view of all activities that helps LCS to correctly assign resources, ensure costs stay within budget, and track profitability via accurate budgeting, forecasting, and billings/chargebacks.
In addition, to help improve the speed and accuracy of responses to employee and staffing needs, LCS has deployed Oracle E-Business Suite Human Capital Management (HCM) to streamline and centralize benefits and payroll.
