Oracle’s PeopleSoft HCM Enhancements Deliver a Simple and Modern User Experience
Simplicity and mobility of new user interface enhances HR decision-making, increases employee engagement, and streamlines processes
ORACLE OPENWORLD, SAN FRANCISCO – September 30, 2014
To help meet rapidly rising consumer expectations and maximize the value of business-critical applications, organizations must provide a compelling user experience across all devices, including mobile devices. To help human resources (HR) leaders meet this challenge and take full advantage of mobile technologies, Oracle has introduced a new, simplified user experience for Oracle’s PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM). The intuitive and responsive user interface is optimized across all types of mobile devices and helps HR leaders drive productivity and efficiency by enhancing decision-making, increasing employee engagement, and streamlining processes.
· Optimized across multiple platforms, including smartphones, desktops, and laptops, the new PeopleSoft Fluid User Interface (PeopleSoft Fluid UI) provides an intuitive and responsive user interface that provides native-application interactivity across a range of mobile operating systems and devices.
· With more than 50 new features and functions, PeopleSoft Fluid UI provides employees, managers, and executives with a familiar native user experience that helps maximize productivity and effectiveness while eliminating the need for training.
· The new user interface is delivered in the latest update to PeopleSoft HCM 9.2, which also includes a range of enhancements including payroll simplification, compliance support, and additional integrations.
· To minimize the cost and time commitment of an upgrade, the latest updates are available through the PeopleSoft Update Manager so that customers can quickly and easily move to Oracle’s PeopleSoft Fluid UI at the time of their choosing, without upgrading. PeopleSoft Update Manager gives customers the flexibility to determine what features or maintenance to apply and when to apply it, and at any point customers can create a single change package to become current.
Fueling Employee Productivity with Customer-Driven Enhancements
PeopleSoft HCM delivers best-in-class HR functionality that helps organizations increase productivity, accelerate business performance, and lower cost of ownership.
With the release of PeopleSoft Fluid UI, customers benefit from the following:
Improved user engagement. The new UI delivers a brand-new PeopleSoft navigation paradigm, including tiled home pages and a new navigation bar that presents information in a similar way to consumer mobile applications, which drives user adoption by providing instant access to key areas of PeopleSoft.
Ubiquitous personalization. End users can now tailor their PeopleSoft application to look and work the way they want, across all devices, within seconds.
Greater productivity. PeopleSoft Fluid UI lets managers unify and approve HR transactions such as expenses, absences, and promotions through any device, increasing productivity.
Enhanced decision-making. With pivot grids and visualization options, managers can view and analyze real-time HR data to ensure that strategic decisions are always made based on the latest relevant information.
New guided HR self service. The new guided self service enables users to easily compound multiple transactions, such as employee transfers and salary adjustments, into one single task. Business questions are used to start the process so that subsequent screens are simplified and tailored for each specific business transaction.
Anywhere, anytime access. Employees can complete crucial HR-related tasks such as entering time and requesting absences via mobile device. Meanwhile, managers can also take advantage of mobile features, including reviewing time exceptions and managing team absences, regardless of location.
The latest release of PeopleSoft HCM also includes the following capabilities:
Payroll simplification. The Payroll for North America WorkCenter streamlines and simplifies payroll administration by providing access to all payroll information in one place.
Actionable insights into HR. With more than 20 additional embedded analytics available through pivot grids and intuitive new dashboards, managers can use real-time insights to make more-informed workforce management decisions.
Further regulatory compliance support. Updated regulatory compliance support addresses legislative changes including the repeal of the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) and implementation of the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
“Delivering mobile solutions to end users is one of our top priorities,” said David Huffman, vice president, Enterprise Resource Planning at Adventist Health System. “We are highly interested in the PeopleSoft Fluid User Interface because we believe it could provide a simple and intuitive PeopleSoft experience for our users—mobile or otherwise.”
“MIPRO Consulting’s PeopleSoft customers are excited about the new PeopleSoft Fluid User Interface,” said MIPRO CEO and Managing Partner Jim Prokes. “These new capabilities can help our PeopleSoft clients to address their mobility needs while also providing a new, intuitive user experience to the desktop user.”
“Today’s workforce demands that the technologies used at work deliver the same intuitive and compelling experience as the technologies they use at home,” said Paco Aubrejuan, senior vice president and general manager, Oracle’s PeopleSoft Applications. “We constantly evolve our HR solutions to adapt to the needs of the end user and help enterprises stay competitive. With PeopleSoft Fluid UI, we are making the process of completing everyday HR tasks quicker and easier than ever before in Oracle’s PeopleSoft HCM. Not only does this make the user happy, but the boost in productivity and efficiency can have a huge impact on business results.”
