John Fowler is Oracle’s executive vice president of Systems. He has extensive experience in corporate strategy as well as systems and software development. Before coming to Oracle in 2010 when the company acquired Sun, Fowler worked at Sun for more than 14 years. There he served in several influential roles, including executive vice president of Sun's Systems Group; chief technology officer for Sun's software organization; and executive vice president of Sun's x64 Systems Group, focused on delivering industry-standard network computing systems for Solaris, Linux, and Windows. At Oracle, Fowler continues to be responsible for the delivery of all of Oracle’s systems products, including SPARC and x86-based servers, Oracle Solaris, networking, and disk and tape storage products.
